Blame It On the Seagull is an animated documentary about Pelle Sandstrak. He tells the story of how he first noticed the signs of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and Tourettes Syndrome when he was a teenager. Pelle explains the magical thinking behind the obsessions. If he did not perform the rituals, he believed death and disaster would occur in his consciousness. He was a master of diversions to hide what he was doing. He would say he was kidding so others would not think he was crazy. We see Pelle as a normal boy, in class, with girls, and at a party, while the magical world of his thoughts breaks through and mixes with the real world.
