Vladimir’s diploma short film “The Door” (2004) won awards at the Saint Anna and Sehsüchte Film Festivals in Germany, the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival and many other competitions. In 2008, the feature film “Mukha” (The Fly) won the Golden Goblet award at the 11th Shanghai International Film Festival and the prize for best European feature film debut at the International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Zlín (The Czech Republic). In 2017, Vladimir won a special prize of the Council of the Academy for the film “Petr Leschenko. Everything that was…”. Since 2013, he has been teaching film directing at the Russian State University of Cinematography (VGIK).
