Voskoboinikova was born and grew up in Voronezh. She was successful in her studies and work until she got in a car accident, which caused a spinal cord injury. Several years of rehabilitation have changed her perception of life. For the past eight years, Voskoboinikova has been living in Moscow and working for the radio station. She leads an active social life and has become a strong advocate and activist defending the rights of persons with disabilities.
