The 1960s, R.D. Laing, Scottish psychiatrist, is outraged by attitude to patients: clinic-prison, compulsory treatment, and electroshock. He opens his own center in London, where he develops new methods of treatment: group therapy, joint conversations, without violence and drugs (although medical doses of LSD will not hurt anyone). The professional community looks at the doctor as if he founded a strange and potentially dangerous cult.
